Armored Hearts
The Girl Who Didn't Love

She knew to trust no one
and that was all.

With tight lips,
She knew to stay quiet
and watch as they fall.

With armor built to last,
She locked up her heart
put away for safe keeping.

But what she didn't know
is that soon it would cease beating.

But what she didn't know
was that a loveless life was not worth living.
